Position Description
Receptionist for busy Medical and Allied Health practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and staff.
Reports To: Practice Manager
Key Relationships: Internal staff, clients, visitors
Key Responsibilities
Represent the business as the first point of contact, greeting clients and visitors at reception and answering all incoming calls
Provide administrative support to the team such as managing mail, emails and preparation of documents and correspondence
Coordination of files including preparing new patient files, scanning of documents, filing of electronic and hard copy documents and archiving of closed files
Ensuring all staff requests are met within a timely manner
Assisting patients with appointment scheduling
Processing bookings and billings via medical software programs
Processing payments and patient Medicare & private health rebates
Essential Criteria:
Previous experience as a medical or Allied Health receptionist
Knowledge of Medicare and private health fund billing
Excellent computer skills (e.g. use of practice management software, Microsoft Office)
Desirable Criteria:
Previous experience with Halaxy and/or Xestro practice management software
Knowledge of NDIS billing
Hold a Blue Card
Hold a First Aid Certificate
