We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as the Project Manager Governance and Controls reporting to NCM – Senior Manager Solution – Delivery Program Manager
A bit about your role
The Project Manager – Governance & Controls, is an integral part of the Program Delivery team who will be working in collaboration with all individuals across the Network Capacity Delivery team. You will interface and work closely with key stakeholders within nbn and delivery partners to ensure successful establishment if NCM scale programs and that ongoing Governance and Controls are best practice and consistent across all programs. The role has exposure across all NCM programs (existing and emerging) impacting on several parts of the business. It will require a mature professional with significant experience, attention to detail and ability to influence outcomes beyond his or her immediate team.
The accountabilities of the role include establishing robust governance reporting to enable strong monitoring and Controls across new programs of works. Ensuring full E2E view of all dependencies and milestones. They also include reviewing and refining existing governance practices to drive best practice and consistency across new and existing programs, build reporting, metrics, Leading/lagging indicators, financial monitoring. The incumbent is also accountable to oversee inflight programs and provide insights into areas of concern, focus, improvement and supporting Process development and improvement, new program / initiative introduction.
A bit about you
The successful candidate will possess a strong experience and background in Telecommunications with good years of experience in deployment activities in telecommunications technology including but not limited to: Civil design and construct, high volume capability rollouts and implementation of deployment strategies for new technologies. The ideal candidate will also have previous full lifecycle project management experience on a related large and complex project/program of work with a preference in the telecommunications industry &/or HFC Technology.
The Ideal candidate will have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills with Proven ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to drive outcomes whilst managing a complex program in a changing environment and an ability to balance often changing priorities. Methodical and analytical approach to complex problems that may require multiple parties to resolve, Results driven with Proven delivery record in complex and ambiguous environments is an added advantage. The candidate will be self-driven and have commercial acumen, strong business acumen, data analysis capabilities, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
