Sexual Assault Services are recruiting for a Project Manager to join the new Adult Survivor Program Team!
What You'll be Doing
The Adult Survivors Program (ASP) Project Manager will provide district leadership, coordination, policy implementation, role supporting SWSLHD establishment and implement the statewide Adult Survivor Program. The ASP strongly aligns with the Violence Abuse Neglect (VAN) redesign, with focus on integration at service level (between Health Services) and broader system (government and non-government), holistic and safe care, collaboration between different NSW Health services and teams, and with other non-Health partners. Local Health Districts require implement of the Adult Survivor Program in line with VAN Redesign local initiatives and structures.
The ASP sits within the Staying Safe in Community (PARVAN) Directorate in Primary and Community Care.
The Project Manager – will provided advanced, overarching program leadership, strategic management, implementation, governance, business planning, risk and budget management, stakeholder engagement and coordination, ensuring the objectives of this new innovative, integrated program are met and oversee the development of a sustainable local model of care in alignment with statewide requirements of NSW Health’s new ASP – a specialist integrated program for adult survivors of child sexual abuse with complex needs and other sexual assault (PARVAN) programs/initiatives across the district.
The program aims to improve outcomes for adult survivors of child sexual abuse, with a particular focus on survivors of complex trauma with mental health and alcohol and other drug support needs. The program model takes a hybrid strategic-clinical approach.
This role will work in close partnership with the Sexual Assault Service Manager, Clinical Coordinator – ASP, Mental Health, Drug Health, Aboriginal Health and the broader sexual assault service and PARVAN teams.
The Project Manager – Sexual Assault will work from a strengths-based, family-centered, culturally appropriate and trauma informed approach. This role will be required to recruit, coach, mentor and performance develop identified staff.
This role will not provide direct services to clients.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline; or significant work experience in violence, abuse and neglect, trauma informed care, mental health, or alcohol and other drugs.
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills and ability to work autonomously to enhance staff performance, influence workplace culture, and lead change.
- Demonstrated high-level project management skills including competence in software and computer programs used to prepare complex documents and reports including at a minimum, proficiency in Word, Power Point, Outlook and Excel.
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal and influencing skills to maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders including Ministry of Health, district senior management, project team partners, consumers and other key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation
- Demonstrated capacity to manage complex health-related projects and change initiatives to achieve planned outcomes, including project planning, financial monitoring, and project evaluation and reporting.
- Ability to work with minimal direction in an environment of organisational complexity, to establish a new, innovative service in line with NSW Health’s organisational values and goals.
- Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment (with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
