We are excited to be recruiting for a new role to manage projects and partner with our director to ensure best possible outcomes for our customers and further develop our reach across the Mornington Peninsula.

About you:
This role will suit an experienced and qualified Carpenter who has 5+ years’ experience and exceptional project management skills.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing multiple residential custom building projects – project value $750-$2m average.
- Providing leadership to on-site teams, subcontractors and clients.
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients and communicating throughout the project life cycle.
- Collaborating with clients to understand their vision and providing regular project updates.
- Developing and managing project budgets including take offs, minor cost estimates and tracking.
- Identifying cost saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Creating and managing project schedules to ensure all milestones are met.
- Proactively addressing any delays and resolving issues professionally.
- Implementing and enforcing quality control processes to meet or exceed industry standards.
- Conducting regular inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet project specifications.
- Fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to on-site teams, sharing ideas from hands-on experience.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience in residential custom building with a strong foundation in on-the-tools construction work.
- Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies with proven ability to manage project budgets and timelines.
- Experience of Build Xact or similar systems.
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership skills to inspire others.
- Strong problem-solving skills as well as a flexible and adaptable outlook.
- An autonomous and inquisitive nature with a focus on process improvement
- A desire to work in a small and highly driven team
