About the Role
ConnectSydney, a dynamic joint venture between Service Stream, Boral and Johnson Controls, will be delivering the Sydney Road Assets Performance Contract for the Harbour Zone in metropolitan Sydney. The Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the formation; documentation and estimation of work methodology pertain to the maintenance or construction of road infrastructure, structural, corridor, tunnel and ITS projects. Additionally, the position will be called upon from time to time to oversee site maintenance activities and oversee new and upgrade works.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the development of plans laying out maintenance and new works methodology of specific maintenance works, tactical or special projects

- Assist in the preparation of full and complete works estimates
- Undertake the preparation of business tender documents and ensure they are undertaken in a way that protects company interests
- Review, create and implement strategies that increase the efficiencies of maintenance and field works and project delivery.
- Be involved in the development and implementation of bid strategies
- Contribute toward the continuous improvement of all aspects of our business systems, policies and procedures
- As assigned oversee site works involving maintenance and field works and project delivery.
- As assigned overview all contract activities to ensure the required project/operational objectives are met and implement corrective actions where necessary
- As assigned overview the management and administration of sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure works are executed to the satisfaction of the client and in accordance with agreed specifications, terms, conditions and budget
- Monitor progress and forecasts and compile monthly reports detailing cost, time, safety and environmental aspects. Report immediately any event which will significantly change previous forecasts
- Manage the performance of all reporting staff including establishment of clear responsibilities and authorities in accordance with ConnectSydney performance review procedures.
- Ensure all Safety, Quality, Environmental, community, sustainability requirements are met as part of development and delivery of all maintenance and field works or project delivery.
- Ensure all environmental, community, safety and any other required approvals are in place.
About You
- Desirable Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical) or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated strong business development & project management experience.
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Sound Knowledge of Microsoft Office suit, MS Project.
- Possesses good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work within a team.
- Results driven, ability to meet strict deadlines.
