We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join an expanding construction company based in the Southern Suburbs. We work on a broad range of projects, from residential renovations, architecturally designed new residences, through to government construction and fit outs.
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects valued up to $10million. You will be working closely with the site managers to ensure the projects are well managed, within budget, and maintaining high-quality standards of work from the team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to deliver projects within timeframes and cost.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and all stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Monitor and report project progress to senior management on a regular basis.
- Coordination and management of trades, contractors, and materials, to ensure delivery of projects.
- Proactively identify and resolve project issues.
- Ensure the companies’ site staff are well presented and behave in accordance with company guidelines.
- As required, ensure all necessary permits/approvals are in place.
- Compliance with invoicing processes including necessary purchase order and receipt collections for processing.
- Ensure the project files include all plans and documentation, and are the most recent version and that quotes, receipts, invoices etc are saved to the central project files.
- Preparation of trade tender packages for pricing are distributed in a timely manner and pricing returned by due dates.
- Compliance of our Quality, Environment and WH&S, ISO Programs
- Ensure all necessary construction documentation and contracts are in place and up to date.
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary Qualifications in Project Management and/or Building & Construction Management.
- Previous Construction Management experience running multiple sites and teams (preferably on projects exceeding $2mil).
- Proven track record of working on architecturally designed homes and other types of work, such as Government work.
- Strong project management skills, with a focus on planning, attention to detail and problem solving.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.
- Ability to understand tenders, relate to scope of build and interpret plans and relevant reports.
- Proficiency in Project Management and other software programs.
