Then look no further, we have the job for you, we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer to join the Facilities & Projects team here at Tafe SA! We are looking for someone who can take the project to new heights, use innovation, collaboration and expertise to drive this project to success. The Project Officer is responsible for providing effective and efficient project support to the Facilities and Projects Business Unit. The Project Officer will prepare project outlines, maintaining project documentation, financials and monitor project outcomes.Key Selection Criteria:
To apply and succeed in the role, you will have:
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation of modern capital infrastructure projects and quality management concepts, principles and techniques.
  • Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement and monitor continuous improvement strategies.
  • Experience in undertaking small-scale compliance and process improvement projects including preparing project outlines and producing reports.
  • Provide the Business Unit with a range of business support functions including, but not limited to, developing and maintaining records, communications, intranet management, and the provision of project administrative support.
  • Demonstrated well developed written and verbal communication skills enabling proficient reporting of project objectives, progression, and final outcomes.
  • Proficient experience in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, databases and other software packages.
  • Ensure that high level internal and external customer relationships are developed and maintained to ensure a high level of service.
  • Understanding of business management functions and or processes within a government environment.
  • Appropriate Qualifications in Infrastructure Project Management, Planning or similar discipline.
Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
  • Out of hours work will be required.
  • Intrastate and interstate travel may be required. Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Development Program.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
  • It is an ongoing condition of employment for all employees whose employment is subject to a Health Direction/site requirement, including but not limited to an Emergency Health Direction, that they are fully compliant with the requirements of the relevant Directions in order to perform their duties. This will also include but not be limited to: COVID 19
