The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler with experience in planning and scheduling and project controls, who will be responsible for the development and delivery of project schedules for industry leading high-voltage renewable energy projects in our Queensland Operations team.
Reporting to the Manager, Project Management Office, with a dotted line to the Program Manager - QLD you will provide excellence in developing, monitoring and analysing effective project performance. You will also lead the development and maintenance of project schedules and measure, assess and report on progress against project baselines. This role is critical to the success of the company and its projects, as you use critical path method (CPM) scheduling techniques to ensure project milestones and overall project success is achieved.
Our Queensland Operations team is embarking on an exciting period with the delivery of multiple EPC projects including the Ulinda Park BESS & Substation, Greenbank BESS and Brendale BESS & Substation. This is your opportunity to play a key role in helping the state achieve its renewable energy targets.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- 10 plus years of demonstrated experience in supporting complex multi-disciplinary projects, ideally in renewable energy or utilities sector. Experience in other industries such as infrastructure, oil & gas and mining will also be considered
- Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) and Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of critical path method (CPM) scheduling, resource loading and forecasting, earned value management (EVM), and progress measurement
- Strong technical expertise in Project Controls principles and practices
- Business acumen and understanding of business value drivers and value optimisation processes applying divergent and convergent thinking skills
- Persuasive stakeholder engagement skills including the ability to influence and build effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to engage with & communicate effectively across multiple business units and functional areas
- Exceptional productivity that demonstrates reliability in getting the job done accurately and on time
- Ability to assess the accuracy of data provided by sub-contractors and facilitate / coordinate updates and reporting
- Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Roles of increasing responsibility in a project environment focused on Project Scheduling
- Demonstrated experience with Project Controls processes, systems and tools
- Proven ability to work within a matrix organisation
