Our esteemed client requires an experienced Project Scheduler to join a large program of work, introducing next-generation technology.
The program includes several projects, with the flagship project replacing the organisations existing Energy Management System (EMS) with an Advanced Energy Management System (AEMS). The delivery of this Program will provide the organisation with a generational leap towards a modern and contemporary network operations capability that uses best-practice technologies, processes and skills to drive efficiencies and performance.
Resource Overview
The Project Scheduler is responsible for working closely with the AEMS Project Manager and delivery team to develop, maintain and report against the project schedule to support the introduction of a new Energy Management System. This role is critical to ensuring the project and solution delivery items are developed, delivered and embedded within project expectations. This role will work within the AEMS Project to ensure schedule activities are progressing as planned including the tracking and monitoring of team activities to ensure the project is solution functioning effectively and efficiently.
Selection Criteria
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience eliciting information from various business representatives and subject matter experts to information and build schedule;
- Proven experience aligning schedule to delivery methodologies and assurance gates as required;
- Proven ability to coordinate project schedule to manage inter dependencies and present information into a Program level schedule and or roadmap;
- Proven ability to work with Program and Project Managers to establish routine meetings to provide updates on the schedule and report on progress and interdependencies;
- Proven ability to review schedules to ensure delivery performance is maximised and considers resourcing availability and constraints;
- Proven ability to report on resources profiles on a regular basis to track completed project activities;
- Proven ability to create illustrative schedule or Plan on a Page views for executive consumption;
- Provide ability with contemporary scheduling toolsets including Microsoft Project;
- Proven ability to support project management team and positively engage with technology stakeholders;
- Proven communication skills, analytical mindset and collaborative approach; and
- Displays high levels of initiative and time management skills.
- Experience in the Energy / Utility sector;
- Ability to embrace working in a fast pace operational environment with competing priorities and enjoy working through technical problems in a positive manner; and
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in a relevant discipline or significant scheduling experience.
