About the Position

The City is seeking a Project Support Officer, with relevant expertise.  The successful appointee will be responsible for:

• Monitor and review the current and future year Capital Works Projects for emerging risks and issues in line with PMBOK Principles.
• Proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Improvement around integration of the City's Systems into a central database that is interpretable by the Project community.
• Administration of this database.
• Support legislative compliance with the various Grant Funding agreements.
• Process improvement and template reviews.

Skills and Experience 

As a collaborative member of the Program Management team, the position is accountable for the provision of information to the Program Manager, for them to make strategic, informed decisions. The successful appointee must be an adaptable, experienced administrator with at least a broad understanding of project management principles, cloud-based systems, as well as Mircrosoft Suite, including Excel, MS Project, Powerpoint and Power BI. They must also thrive working in a very busy and change driven organisation.   As such, applicants must be able to demonstrate through their CV and covering letter that they meet the following capabilities:

• Qualification in relevant discipline such as MS Suite, Power BI, Oracle, Business Administration or Project Management is desirable.
• Relevant experience in a similar role is required.
• Intermediate experience in the efficient utilisation of information systems and technology such as Power BI and Oracle based systems.
• Knowledge of PMBOK project management principles and practices.
• Intermediate administrative and financial skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Advanced computing, numeracy, and literacy skills.
• Intermediate organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
• Intermediate risk analysis skills.
• Intermediate communication and problem-solving skills.
• Work autonomously within a team environment.
