Due to an increase business activity, we are currently looking for a Project Coordinator in Building and Construction industry. You will be reporting directly to the Senior Project Coordinator
Key role and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Detailing, scheduling and preparation of shop drawings from drawings/ plans prior to procurement of materials
- Monitoring project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
- Organising, attending, and participating in subcontractors’ site meetings.
- Documenting and following up important actions and decisions from meetings.
- Ensuring that project deadlines are met.
- Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
- Coordinating delivery of materials, subcontractors and labour workers on site
- Providing administrative support in the office
- Preparation of monthly progress claims and contract variations
To be successful you must have the following attributes:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
- Ability to read architectural blueprints or plans
- Have experience in carpentry or building related roles would be a plus
- Ability to work on tight deadlines
- Meticulous and attention to detail
- Have a can-do attitude and eager to learn
- Have a Driver’s Licence and White cards (OH&S Certification)
- You must have a Permanent Residency or Citizenship in Australia as we do not offer any visa sponsorship.
