Council’s Governance Branch have an exciting opportunity for a Property Officer to join their Property Services team. If you’re a property management specialist with experience in leasing and have sound understanding of legal, legislative and statutory requirements this exciting opportunity might be for you.
Position Objectives
The officer will be responsible for:
- Administration of Council’s Property Portfolio relating to property transfers, leases, licences, road discontinuances, creation of easements and other property related agreements.
- Coordination of Council’s Land Manager’s Consent Application process and Road Reserve Event Application process.
Qualifications and Experience
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Business / Property Management or equivalent are preferred, however applicants with property management and/or leasing experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of legal, legislative and statutory requirements relating to the preparation and execution of legal documents including leases, licences and property transactions, preferably within a local government environment.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including such the Local Government Act, Lands Act, Subdivision Act, Road Management Act, Transfer of Land Act, Retail Leases Act and Crown Land (Reserves) Act.
- Demonstrated experience working with property management, leases and licence issues.
- Demonstrated experience in research and report writing.
- A current Driver’s Licence.
Salary and Conditions
The position is classified within Band 6 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $90,876 to $98,943 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
