Company: Our successful Psychology Practice, located opposite beautiful Town beach in Mandurah, has been established and developed over the past 8 years. During this time, we have developed a reputation of excellence in the delivery of People Centred Mental Health within the community of Mandurah and Peel District. This reputation has spread through client word of mouth and repeat referrals from General Practitioners, Psychiatrists, Employers and Insurers.

Our service offers Individual, evidence based, multi modal therapies to assist clients during challenging life stressors, difficult decision making, implementing and adapting to change, trauma, workplace and motor vehicle accident counselling, and introducing skills to manage depression and anxiety.
Our focus is always to create a safe space in which the client feels welcomed, understood, heard and validated; such that any reason for attendance can be comfortably spoken out and a clear formulation summarised in order to meet the unique needs of the client whilst also guiding the therapist from an evidence-based intervention.
Position Overview: We are currently seeking psychologists who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. REQUIREMENTS
Experience and Expertise:
- Recently registered psychologists: Who would like to work with teenagers and/or adults from a multi-faceted therapeutic approach (ACT, CBT, DBT, EMDR) predominantly referred through General Practitioners and Employee Assistance Programs.
- Senior psychologists: Comfortable working with more complex clients and providing evidence-based interventions across several referral pathways i.e. Mental Health Care Plans, Relationship Counselling, Insurers and Employers.
- Tertiary qualification and APHRA registration as a Clinical Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist, Registered Psychologist, Mental Health accredited Social Worker, Family Therapist.
- Able to Formulate an evidence-based Plan of Intervention with experience developing Safety Plans.
- Counselling experience will be highly regarded.
- Experience in provision of EAP services desirable.
- Experience with NDIS care plans and PBS plans an advantage.
- Understanding of Worker’s compensation processes and injury management claims.
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches for a range of mental health conditions.
- Current Police Clearance.
- Clean Western Australian Driving License.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Ability to build rapport quickly and establish meaningful relationships, both within the team, with stakeholders and clients.
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and formulating personalised treatment plans with a holistic approach.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to working within a small team.
Clinical Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
- Capacity to deliver high-quality reports tailored for General Practitioners and other healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrated experience providing therapy and counselling services to diverse populations.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, including proficiency in administering and interpreting psychological tests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to diagnose and formulate treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of best practice evidence-based interventions for a diverse range of mental health issues and clientele.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic and integrated care for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up to date client records, adhering to ethical and professional standards.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in psychological research, interventions, and regulations. Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical practice within the clinic.
- Develop quality reports.
- There will also be elements of networking and marketing.
- Engaging with stakeholders and relevant agencies.
