The primary focus of this role is to deliver Psychology services in the areas of assessment, intervention, treatment planning and evaluation for young people who present with severe and complex Mental Health difficulties. Based in Robina.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist (Mental Health - Young Adult and Specialty Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Manage a highly complex caseload with clinical supervision and support based on the level of individual clinical experience
- Provide psychological assessments and interventions to young people who present with complex Mental Health problems
- Provide supervision for less experienced clinicians and students as negotiated with line manager
- Contribute to the clinical education of students and other less experienced staff, in consultation and with the support of senior clinical staff
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Psychology
- AHPRA Registration
- Driver Licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (60.48 hrs p.f)
- Base salary ranging from $38.70 - $56.89 per hour

Young Adult and Specialty Services is a multi-disciplinary, multi-specialty team within the Gold Coast Child and Youth Mental Health Services operating across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service to provide multi-specialty Mental Health intervention to Young Adults 18-21yrs. Based in Robina.
