The Role
Due to growth within the business, we are expanding our Purchasing Team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is a fundamental part of the Business Services Team and is a fantastic opportunity for a high-energy, attention to detail, professional person to join the team. Duties include:
- Managing the inventory requirements for allocated suppliers
- Prepare, place, and follow up all orders
- Coordinate and track shipments by air or sea freight as well as local supplier purchases
- Review of Backorder requests
- Receipt and invoice of overseas shipments
- Review and update supplier pricing
- Manage the return process for all warranty returns
- Follow up supplier queries and stock discrepancies
- Setup of New Part Codes in accordance with company guidelines
- Preparation of accurate reports for decision making
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Previous Purchasing experience is desirable
- An eye for detail and accuracy
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Superior customer service skills and telephone manner
- Strong computer literacy
- Well-developed numerical skills
- Reliable and punctual
