HYDAC a major international manufacturer, is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Purchasing & Logistics Assistant to join the Melbourne Logistics team.
Primary Function:
Expediting and receiving ordered material from suppliers in time to meet company requirements. Following through items ordered and keeping system information updated at all the stages from ordering to receiving.
Accountabilities:
Responsible for managing end to end process:
• Entering order in system
• Sending orders to suppliers and getting order confirmation from them
• Checking and resolving order confirmations to ensure they meet company requirement.
• Following through with suppliers and liaising with Logistics providers for delivery of supplies in timely and most cost effective manner.
• Receiving shipments in system and forwarding invoices to Accounts
Minimum Requirements:
• Methodical, high attention to detail with ability to track and expedite completion of order in time to meet required deadlines
• Well-organized, enthusiastic, self-motivated with strong drive
• Strong interpersonal skills communicate effectively within organization and suppliers, logistics providers
• Microsoft Excel and experience of working with ERP systems
Permeant Residency preferred or approved working rights in Australia
Background in import logistics and purchasing will be added advantage.
