Purchasing Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join their procurement team for their Horsley Park site. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient procurement of materials and services, optimizing costs, and maintaining excellent supplier relationships. The role:

• Collaborate with various departments to determine procurement needs and requirements;
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability;
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favourable agreements;
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies;
• Continuously analyse market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities;
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation;
• Work closely with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of materials; and
• Promote sustainability practices within the procurement process.

Candidates:

• Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management;
• Strong negotiation and communication skills;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities;
• Proficient in using procurement software and tools;
• Knowledge of sustainability principles and practices;
• Detail-oriented and highly organized; and
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
