Due to ongoing growth throughout the business, we are looking to appoint a Purchasing Officer to our team with at least 2 years’ experience.
About the Role:
Reporting to the National Category Manager, Pantry, the key responsibility of the role will be to ensure the ordering and management of stock to meet national business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock ordering (national) for Pantry items.
- Adjust orders and allocation as required
- Maintain and update stock records.
- Assist with stock takes and ensure accuracy with ERP systems
- Uphold inventory/stock management.
- Manage 3rd party national purchasing requirements
- Coordinating logistics inwards and outwards.
- Establishing a professional relationship with vendors/suppliers.
About You:
- Experience in a similar purchasing role
- Experience in food retail or food manufacturing advantageous.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of procurement processes.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to quickly identify discrepancies.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgement under pressure
- Confident communication style (verbal and written) with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders at all levels
- Intermediate or Proficient application skills across the entire Microsoft Office Suite
- Works well within a team and assists in balancing workload
- Ability to prioritise and take responsibility to meet conflicting deadlines under pressure
- Flexibility and ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a dynamic environment.
- High levels of initiative, curiosity, and display of a positive “can-do” attitude
- Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
