Our client who is leading Mechanical Contractor in the shutdown and projects space for Mining is seeking a Purchasing Officer for their growing team in West Perth.
This role is initially a 2 – 3 month assignment with the possibility for it to Permanent for the right candidate.
Main duties and tasks for the role include;
- Negotiate long term and short-term purchasing agreements with suppliers.
- Manage outstanding orders and communicate with suppliers to ensure assets and inventory are organised and supplied with in a timely manner.
- Maintaining stock levels.
- Process transaction records accurately into the accounting and stock system.
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the mining or construction industry (advantageous, however not essential)
- Experience using MS Office and SAP.
- Strong problem solver
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Monday to Friday 40hr working week. Office hours are 7AM to 5PM and flexible with start and finish times
- Pay Rate – Between $35 to $45 per hour + super depending on experience
- IMMEDIATE START
