This hugely successful mining services and construction company has a new role for a Purchasing officer with Pronto experience to join their small Supply Chain Team.
Duties:
Identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and develop strategic procurement plans.
Stay informed about market trends, industry regulations, and supplier capabilities to inform decision-making.
Conduct regular cost analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities for cost reduction. Identify and mitigate potential risks related to procurement activities.
Maintain accurate and organised procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information.
Generate regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and vendor performance.
Skills
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Proficient in procurement (Pronto) software and Microsoft Office Suite.
