This role is looking for an immediate start and is initially for a 3 month period, but has the capacity to extend.
The Role
As a Purchasing Officer, you will support the procurement team in the acquisition of goods and services. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and looking to develop their skills:
- Assist with sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotes for goods and services
- Process purchase orders and track delivery of goods
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and contracts
- Assist with inventory management and stock control
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs
- Provide general administrative support to the procurement team
About You
- Previous experience in an administrative or junior procurement/purchasing role is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- A proactive approach to learning and development
- A certificate or diploma in business administration or a related field is preferred
