Our client is a well-known industry leader in the aged-care sector, headquartered here in Brisbane with operations state-wide they are a proud organisation delivering support to thousands of Australians in need.
They are looking for a Purchasing Officer to join the procurement team based at their head office in Kelvin Grove on a fixed-term contract until September 2024 with the potential for this role to be extended or go permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raising purchase orders
- Preparing templates and formatting documentation
- Entering fleet invoices & other fleet related administration
- Liaising with internal and external customers
- Actioning enquiries across multiple inboxes and through phone communication
- Managing and maintaining vendor/supplier profiles
- Assisting with vendor on-boarding processes in accordance with policies and procedures
- Spend analysis and reporting
- Data entry
Skills & Experience
This position is ideal for someone immediately available, enjoys working within a fast-paced, high-volume environment and great communication skills. You will have seen success within your previous positions because of your strong attention to detail skills as well as your ability to follow process and accurately record information. This position is ideal for a team player with good relationship building skills.
- Previous experience within a Purchasing position is highly desirable
- Strong administration and multitasking skills required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
- Strong Microsoft excel skills
- Ability to pick up and work across multiple systems
- Must be vaccinated against covid-19 to be considered for this role
