Your opportunity to join our team
As Purchasing Officer you will work with and report to the Engineering Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring all data-keeping duties, inventory management, and the coordination and execution of procurement activities take place, ensuring on-time and within budget.

Daily Tasks
- Coordinate and execute procurement activities for the manufacturing process, ensuring on-time purchase order placement
- Liaise with internal staff to facilitate seamless communication and workflow
- Cultivate strong relationships with external suppliers and vendors to ensure continuous supply agreements
- Lead inventory improvements and enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Support the Maintenance Department in day-to-day tasks, including entering new sales orders, closing assembly orders, and maintaining production planning.
- Check inward goods against order and quality requirements.
- Review orders and look for opportunities for cost saving and benefit to Inghams.
You will bring to this role
- Strong computer skills and high attention to detail
- Good communication skills – verbal and written.
- Excellent organisation/time management skills.
- Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities
- Maximo/ BPCS experience would be advantageous
- Fast learner
- Strong data keeping skills
