Job Purpose
· Serve as an important member of the purchasing/management team;
· Cut down cost from procurement perspective;
· Update pricing system/strategy on national and Global scale;
· Lead/manage warehouse logistic and stock;
· Utilize and upgrade existing purchasing channels; &
· Report directly to General Manager.
Job Responsibility
You will be responsible for but not limited to:
1) Costing/purchasing of ship spare parts, services and other needs; 2) Ensuring goods are delivered on time and within delivery schedules; 2) Liaison with customers and suppliers by email, face-to-face and over the phone; 3) Negotiation; 4) Identification of new suppliers and development of relationships with them; 5) Inventory control and stock take; 6) Managing and processing claims to/from suppliers including returning goods; 7) Authorize suppliers’ invoices after goods receipt and invoicing matching; 8) Monitoring and updating data in the company’s purchasing system; & 9) Daily and weekly reporting & General administration support.
Job Requirements: 1) Minimum 1 year experience in an office environment, preferably in a position relevant to purchasing; 2) Excellent written and spoken skills in English; & 3) Intermediate in Microsoft Office Suite.
