ACE Materials Handling Pty Ltd is an Australian owned engineering and materials handling company which has been operating since 1991 with branches in Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, Brisbane, Brendale, Darwin, Gladstone, Cairns and Townsville. We provide services to clients in all industries through servicing and maintenance of assets including cranes, mobile machinery and supply of materials handling equipment.
We are currently seeking the services of a Purchasing/Stores Officer to provide their administrative expertise to our organisation, on a full-time basis, working from our Brisbane (Darra) based office. To be successful in this role, you will possess the following attributes and be able to undertake the following tasks & responsibilities;
- Complete an array of administrative duties within the purchasing department to meet daily goals
- Efficiently undertake the receiving and organisation of deliveries/parts/stock
- Daily management of stock levels, ensuring re-purchasing of critical stock items as required
- Conduct stocktake
- Ensure data management system is kept up to date for stock ordered/delivered/received/sold
- Organise parts for deliveries and distribution
- Ensure best price of stock achieved
- Proficient with Microsoft office suite
- Excellent communication skills to liaise both with internal and external stakeholders daily, both verbally and via email
- Compile data and report on data effectively to aid business decisions and future purchasing requirements
- Analytically minded approach to task completion
Prior procurement, stock control or logistics experience advantageous for the position however, all training will be provided to the right candidate who is looking to utilise their already established skills and experience within the procurement and stock control space.
To be successful in this position, the successful candidate needs to be excellent with agile tasks and harness a positive attitude towards constant improvement and new processes to enable change and support of growth in the department.
