About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled Purchasing and Supply Officer to join the Santos team. Based at our Global Headquarters in Adelaide, you will join a dynamic and inclusive team which reports to the Purchasing Lead. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the operational teams in ensuring that all necessary materials and services are available for executional activities.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop operational skills within a world-class supply chain environment, with exposure to all areas of Santos. You will benefit from the guidance and support of an experienced team committed to your career development.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing potential vendors and expediting materials and services for stakeholders
- Providing support to supply chain initiatives with a focus on minimizing waste and improving supply chain efficiency
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders across the globe to troubleshoot purchasing and supply chain issues, and deliver integrated supply chain solutions
- Supporting the supply chain leadership team in ensuring supplier performance achievement, and meeting cost, delivery, and quality targets.
About You
Holding Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline such as Business, Finance, Computer Science, Logistics & Supply Chain, Commerce or Law, the successful candidate will display a proactive and ‘can do’ attitude along with excellent problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail. Strong computer skills are essential, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite being of particular importance. In addition, you will also possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
This role will suit a candidate with a background in vendor management and experience of the FMCG industry.
