They deliver a wide range of services and provide complex support across the Disability, Out of Home Care (OoHC) and Private Aged Care sectors in a range of settings including home care, residential, community and Specialist Disability Accommodation.
They sell to referrers, which are typically medical and clinical personnel responsible for prescribing care plans for vulnerable patient in view of maximising quality of life. These may include Aged Care Facilities, Disability Support Facilities, Hospitals and GP Medical Clinics.

OPPORTUNITY
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strong partnerships and ensuring the sustainable expansion of our service delivery. The role of the Business Development Manager is to enable growth within the organisation and sourcing for new business (outbound calls, appointments, presentation, networking, forming partnerships with stakeholders/and creating staff recruitment pathways. Responsibilities include:
- Convert leads through planned sales and marketing initiatives as well as building and maintaining strong local community referral networks.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to create and execute a comprehensive business development strategy.
- Conduct market research and analyse competitors to stay informed.
- Form professional rapport with community members, support coordinators and transition team by building trust through visible interest and active engagement.
- Complete intakes via phone and in person and
- Complete client onboarding and initial assessments
- Provide timely communications to intake enquiries from participants/Carers/Support Coordinators
- Recruit for your own team of support workers
- Writing and applying for grants
- Facilitate multiple recruitment pathways.
- Identify opportunities for future growth and innovative approaches to sales/business development.
- Lead business development and recruitment initiatives

CANDIDATE
To be considered for this role, knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is essential. You may be working for another NDIS Service Provider or affiliate agency in an Operational, Supervisory (internal) capacity interested in making a career move to sales. If you have b2b (business to business) sales experience in ANY industry to complement this experience that would be highly regarded.
If you have previous sales experience working for an NDIS provider, selling to referrers in the primary care sector, that would be highly regarded although not essential. By primary care we mean; Aged Care Facilities, Medical Clinics (General Practitioners), Community Support & Hospitals.
Other criteria we will be looking for may include:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Services, Business or related discipline or 4 + years’ experience in a Management or Business Development role or other relevant areas of the disability or community sectors;
- Five or more years’ experience managing intake/sales or business development in a service based industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and experience liaising with key stakeholders, including families;
- WWCC & Police Check
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003)
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence
