Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club consists of two superbly manicured, private golf courses. The Pines golf course, the only Arnold Palmer designed golf course in Australia, and The Palms golf course provide a world-class golfing experience and are complemented by superb golfing facilities.
About the Role
Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club is looking for an enthusiastic service-orientated qualified Chef for a full-time permanent role. You will support our exclusive Members-only customer base by supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
You will be an allrounder – able to create high-quality bistro-style food as well as a perfect filet mignon. This includes the preparation, cooking and presentation of food according to daily needs.
Your main tasks in this role will include the following:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes as per our standards
- Assisting in creating menus with flair and innovation having regard to our stock, season and patron preferences
- Ensure patron satisfaction and experinece by delivering dishes to expectation
- Monitoring stock level and ordering accordingly to ensure cost-effectiveness
- Monitoring food preservation and rotation to ensure minimal wastage
- Assisting and training kitchen staff in understanding dish preparation and ingredients
- Aiding in the selection and training of kitchen staff
- Managing kitchen staff as required
- Ensuring health regulations are met at all times
Essential experience of no less than 2 years is required, including breakfast and short order cooking, preparation and larder, à la carte service, fine dining, buffets, as well as high volume banquets and events.
Hours and Days
Our kitchen is open Monday to Sunday. Events for Members on other nights may occur. Suitable applicants must be available to work across a seven day rotating roster.
Selection Criteria
- Experience working in a member club environmen
- Uncomproming attitude towards member experience
- Experience across a range of cafe, restaurant and function environments
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
- Unwavering approach to quality and consistency
- Compliance with all aspects of OH&S, HACCP, COVID-19 and Safe Food Handling
- Current, valid Queensland driver's licence
- Above all, a great personality with a can-do attitude
Previous experience in a golf club environment will be highly regarded.
