Images Restaurant, Cafe & Cocktail Bar is an established and well-known family restaurant in Warrnambool, offering great value lunches, delicious evening meals, decadent desserts, excellent children’s menu and several vegetarian and gluten free choices. 

Located in a beautiful heritage building in the heart of the Liebig Street dining precinct, Images Restaurant, Cafe & Cocktail Bar provides a great ambience for guests dining-in, with options for takeaway and deliveries also available. Images is also available for hire as a wedding reception venue or function room for events.

About the role

Images requires a qualified and experienced full-time chef to be part of our kitchen operations team. Suitable applicants should have extensive experience as a chef in recognised hotels and/ or restaurants.

The main duties of this position include but are not limited to:

• Menu planning;
• Ordering food supplies;
• Food preparation & food presentation;
• Monitoring food quality;
• Staff scheduling & training and interviewing and selecting staff;
• Maintaining compliance with health and safety standards and regulations.

• Be willing to work flexible hours and on weekends;
• Be punctual and should observe regular attendance;
• Be self-motivated and able to work independently;
• Contribute to a positive team environment;
• Be fast, energetic, tolerant and enthusiastic.

A full-time contract for at least three years will be offered, extendable for a further term. In addition to the annual salary the compulsory Super Guarantee Contribution will be payable.

Schedule: 

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Public holidays
• Rotating roster
• Weekend availability 

Ability to commute/relocate: WARRNAMBOOL, VIC 3280, - Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education: Certificate I - IV or equivalent work experience (Required)

Experience: Kitchen: 3 years (Required) 

Language: English (Required)
