Mount Osmond Golf Club is recruiting for a passionate and dynamic greenkeeper to help our growing team to deliver a quality golf course daily. In addition, the club plans to role out a number of exciting projects to further enhance our offering to both members and visiting golfers. The successful applicant will join a course maintenance team focused on fulfilling the potential of the site whilst providing exceptional playing facilities.
Mount Osmond Golf Club is regarded as Adelaide’s most scenic test of golf boasting views second to none over Adelaide City and the Mount Lofty ranges. Mount Osmond Golf Club is a highly respected members Golf Club, situated on a 45-hectare site just 15 minutes from the heart of Adelaide City and the airport. The facility offers an 18-hole golf course, driving range and two chipping greens and a putting green.
The Club was founded in 1927 and today has 2000 members. The Club has a Board and Management Team that are committed to continued growth and development and are seeking a turf grass professional to help take the club into the future as a leading facility and club of choice.
KEY RESULT AREAS1. COURSE MAINTENANCE
Assist the Course Superintendent to maintain the course at an agreed standard.
This will have been satisfactorily achieved when:
1.1 Club rules and Board policies have been adhered to.
1.2 Operating policies and procedures have been adhered to.
1.3 All areas of the course have been prepared, maintained, and presented in accordance with Board policy.
1.4 All plant and equipment has been regularly serviced and maintained in good condition.
1.5 Approved projects to improve the quality of turf, drainage or general condition or presentation of the course have been carried out to the satisfaction of the Board and in a timely manner.
1.6 The quality and condition of the course has been reported to the operations meetings.
1.7 The course has been rated highly by the members and the Board.
- POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Currently enrolled in or completed a Cert III Turf Management or 3 to 4 years equivalent and relevant turf management experience.
- Chemical application accreditation and experience highly regarded.
2.2 Operating policies and procedures have been adhered to.
2.3 All areas of the course have been prepared, maintained, and presented in accordance with Board policy.
2.4 All plant and equipment has been regularly serviced and maintained in good condition.
2.5 Approved projects to improve the quality of turf, drainage or general condition or presentation of the course have been carried out to the satisfaction of the Board and in a timely manner.
2.6 The quality and condition of the course has been reported to the operations meetings.
2.7 The course has been rated highly by the members and the Board.
2.8 Experience with all associated golf course maintenance tasks
2.9 Proficient and safe operation of all golf course equipment
2.10 Willingness to be a proactive team member to continually enhance the Golf Course Management operation on a continual basis.
2.11 Possess strong communication skills.
2.12 Understanding of WHS policies and Safe Work Procedures
2.13 Have a general understanding of the game of golf.
2.14 Be hard working and physically fit.
