The ideal candidate for this role will have a health professional background in the NDIS, aged care or occupational rehabilitation spaces.
Role PurposeThis position reports to the Group Executive – Health Service Operations (HSO).
The Quality and Compliance Manager (QCM) will lead the continued review, implementation and improvement of quality and compliance systems, processes and activities within the HSO division. They will interface with Group Risk and Compliance functions, ensuring alignment between operational and service delivery needs, and wider organisational and industry requirements and standards.
They will demonstrate an unwavering commitment to Diabetes Australia’s values, vision, and mission, both internally, and externally to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement and maintain quality and compliance systems in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations and best practices to proactively update and enhance quality systems.
- Assist in the identification of key operational risks and develop risk registers and risk mitigation strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives fostering a culture of excellence within the Health Service Operations division.
- Monitor incidents, near misses, and hazards received, ensuring the appropriate investigation, corrective action and systemic improvement is undertaken.
- Monitor and report incident trends within the Health Services organisation.
- Lead the implementation of national systems, processes and frameworks.
- Engage and collaborate with various stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications preferred, and / or relevant demonstrated expertise in a health service-related quality, compliance, and governance, or otherwise operations.
- Demonstrated capability in the improvement of systems, processes and frameworks in a health environment.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience with ISO 9001 and other Standards.
- High caliber interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience in policy, procedure, administration, maintenance and improvement documents.
- Highly developed problem solving and analytical skills.
