Carexcell has been delivering innovative and flexible care and support services to older people since 2005. We are looking for a Quality and Risk Manager to join our growing team. The role will be instrumental in supporting the transition to the new Aged Care Act, the new strengthened standards and support Carexcell's Executive and Governing Body to explore opportunities in disability care.
The role
The Quality and Risk Manager will be part of Carexcell's Executive team and report directly to the Managing Director. Working from Carexcell's Hornsby office the role will cover Carexcell's operations including Home Care Packages, Hoarding and Squalor services, DVA Home Care, NDIS (3rd Party) and Out of Hospital Care.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- Maintaining and strengthening Quality and care governance systems by ensuring policies, procedures, and operations meet best practice requirements,
- Undertaking audits,
- Developing submissions and reports for the Governing Body, regulator and government,
- Providing feedback to Carexcell's care team, Executive and Governing Body on risks, trends and improvements,
- Maintaining organisational and care risk registers,
- Undertaking investigations into high risk incidents and adverse feedback,
- Supporting the identification of opportunities for improvement, documenting continuous improvement plans and undertake periodic reviews of CQI actions,
- Developing and delivering education to staff,
- Completing the organisation's self assessments,
- Attending and supporting performance assessments and accreditation visits (travel required).
About you
You are a fun, professional and passionate person that enjoys working in a fast paced and dynamic environment. You will:
- Hold AHPRA registration,
- Have a minimum of 5 years aged care clinical, management and/or leadership experience,
- Have a current driver’s license,
- Be willing to undertake Criminal Record Checks and other checks associated with being a Key Personnel.
You will be able to work within Carexcell's values and in all aspects of work act in accordance with our purpose.
