We are seeking a team-oriented individual to take up the full time permanent position of Quality Assurance Technician (Day Shift) . You must have a strong focus on quality and safety and be able to work as part of an effective team and also independently. A working knowledge of HACCP and strong communications skills with a dedication to get it right the first time whilst working closely and constructively with our customers and suppliers .
Key Responsibilities:
- QA Line Checks on multiple production lines at start up and ongoing to ensure products meet food safety and Alepat/customer quality standards
- Creating job bags/ packaging specifications as per production schedule and product release at the end of production
- Be part of the Internal audit team conducting GMP, Bag Audits etc
- Laboratory Analysis and testing of Alcoholic and non-alcoholic products in a safe and efficient manner
- Calibration of Lab instruments
- Reviewing and approving test results prior to communication to clients
- To perform duties as member of the tasting panel, for product assessment and approval
- Ensuring that products bottled comply with Customer Specifications, Alepat Taylor Quality Manual & Code of Good Manufacturing Practice
- Maintenance of all related documentation, efficiently, accurately and within the Lab/Quality System library at all times
The successful candidate will have:
- Formal qualifications in quality, food science or a related discipline
- Minimum of 1 year QA experience in the beverage, wine, spirits or food industry being a distinct advantage
- Sound knowledge of HACCP and GMP
- Strong focus on Quality, attention to detail, multi-tasking and excellent people skill are paramount to success in this role
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work as part of a team as well as individually with limited supervision
- An analytical mind and problem solving skills
