ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Validation Specialist in our Infection Control Business Unit, you will have responsibility over testing and insuring the compliance of our customers Infection control equipment and products in accordance with varying Australian standards.
You will report directly to our National Technical Commercial Manager as part of our National Technical Services team, delivering Validation services and consultation to our private and public healthcare system customers.
Within this team, you will also have the autonomy to apply your expertise to enhance our validation/quality control equipment, driving your portfolio towards fundamental business-wide revenue targets and KPI’s.
You will be based in our Lane Cove office, with most work being conducted on customer sites within metro and regional NSW. Some interstate travel will be required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain procedures to ensure the Validation process is operated efficiently and compliantly
- Liaise with Major Project Managers to organise for new equipment validations in line with Service and Contract Management requirements
- Take responsibility for the testing and compliance of customer equipment to specific standards on customer sites.
- Maintain a concise and accessible database (digital and hardcopy) of all validation files.
- Attend regular team meetings with Technical Management and Service Centre teams
- Manage and monitor calibration of testing equipment as assigned.
- Assist in coordination of scheduling Validation works within the Validation team.
ABOUT YOU:
- Demonstrated industry experience in field service engineering, quality control, validation, or similar, ideally in a medical device business or business unit
- Advanced computer literacy, with an understand of MS dynamics preferred but not essential
- An actionable understanding of Australian Standard for the reprocessing of RMD’s
- Critical attention to detail, with an ability to translate data into articulate reporting
- A collaborative approach to delivering quality control and validation services in liaison with the wider team
- Motivated to deliver a quality customer experience
