Our Role:

This role is based in Melbourne and report into our CEO, and its key remit is to uphold the highest standards of software product quality and ensure our internal processes comply with relevant security, quality standards, and legislation. This role encompasses the management of the company's quality assurance processes, overseeing adherence to ISO9001:2015 standards, and maintaining the company-wide quality management system. 

This role demands a keen focus on both product and service quality, with overarching accountability for the company's compliance posture.

Core responsibilities of this role will include:

Quality Assurance Management 

• Oversee and enhance testing and quality assurance processes for software products. 
• Ensure consistent application of quality standards across all product development phases. 
• Develop and implement quality metrics and KPIs to monitor and report on quality assurance effectiveness.

Compliance and Standards Adherence 

• Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and legislative requirements applicable to software products. 
• Manage the company’s adherence to ISO9001:2015 standards, including regular audits and continuous improvement initiatives. 
• Stay abreast of changes in quality and compliance regulations, adapting company processes as necessary.

Quality Management System Oversight 

• Manage and continuously improve the company’s quality management system (QMS). 
• Oversee the documentation and process management related to quality assurance and compliance.
• Coordinate with different departments to ensure comprehensive quality documentation and adherence to quality standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Support 

• Collaborate with various departments to foster a culture of quality and compliance company-wide.
• Provide guidance and support in developing and maintaining quality documentation across departments. 
• Act as the primary point of contact for quality and compliance-related inquiries and audits.

Necessary Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in quality assurance and compliance management in the software or technology sector.
• Strong knowledge and experience with ISO9001:2015 standards and quality management systems.
• Strong knowledge and experience with software testing methodologies and quality assurance best practices.
• Experience in managing compliance with security standards and relevant legislation, e.g. ISO27001.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong communication skills, capable of effectively articulating quality and compliance concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to develop and implement effective quality metrics and KPIs.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in quality management, software engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) or compliance is desirable but not essential.
