The Position – Quality Coordinator (Full-time)
Reporting to the Group HSEQ Manager, the Quality Coordinator is responsible for providing accurate and timely support to our Site and Project teams. You will be joining a large team of HSEQ professionals. Although based in Osborne Park, the successful candidate must be willing to occasional work offshore, onboard a vessel as part of the Project Management Team.
The Quality Coordinator's position shall have a primarily focus on Quality Assurance but will also assist with some facets of site and Project HSE requirements. The position is suited for an individual with a strong quality background wanting to also expand their experience and knowledge in HSE.
The role will coordinate and implement aspects of the companies HSE programs and initiatives whilst fostering a culture of QHSE responsibility and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements within our existing ISO 9001 framework.
This is a very diverse role and requires a capable individual able to work on multiple tasks within the HSEQ function.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Quality Assurance
- Collaborate with departmental and project teams to establish and maintain quality control standards.
- Monitor and evaluate product quality through inspections and audits.
- Implement corrective actions to address quality issues and non-conformities.
- Ensure adherence to quality management systems and industry standards.
- Provide project support through the development of quality related testing and inspection plans.
- Develop, implement, and update quality policies and procedures.
Health and Safety
- Occasionally participate in the risk assessment process and represent the organisation at HAZIDs.
- Undertaken site safety inspections and ISO 45001 and 14001 audits.
- Promote a safe working environment.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Implement initiatives to reduce the company's environmental footprint.
- Track and report on environmental performance metrics.
General
- Develop online Quality training modules.
- Investigate quality control issues and minor accidents or incidents and implement corrective and preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate records related to HSEQ activities, in accordance with our Integrated Management System.
- Generate reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare for and participate in audits, inspections, and certifications.
- Foster a QHSE culture within the organization through awareness campaigns.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes and communicate their impact.
About You
The ideal person for this role would be someone who has:
- 5+ years’ experience working within an ISO 9001 certified company.
- Certified ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) is advantageous or working towards and/or willing to obtain it.
- Certification in OHS and environmental internal auditor (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001) is a plus.
- Proven experience in a quality control role within an oil and gas and/or engineering environment.
- Knowledge of relevant local and international HSEQ regulations.
- Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic, project driven environment.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and ability to influence managers and supervisors.
- An ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- An able to problem solve and take initiative.
- Strong computer literacy.
