About the Role
Holroyd Private Hospital seeks a motivated Registered Nurse who has a passion for Quality management and quality initiatives. The ideal person will provide support to the Clinical Services Manager and the Hospital Director with quality improvement and implementation of evidence based, contemporary nursing practice hospital wide.
The primary objective of the role is to meet and exceed Quality Standards, all regulatory compliance framework and customer perceived service quality across departments of the hospital.
- Plan, develop and implement a robust quality, risk and compliance framework across all departments.
- Quality analysis and reporting to facilitate evidence-based approach to continuous improvement.
- Drive and integrate continuous quality improvement.
- Provide support in external accreditation/certification and internal quality audits.
- Develop and support the Hospital Team.
Key Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- In partnership with the service delivery team, plan & develop a Quality management system and execute continuous improvement strategies across all departments.
- Support development and implementation of consumer and staff engagement plans, communication strategies, workforce training needs analysis and staff competency development program in consultation with the team.
- Support development and implementation of the risk management system comprises of WHS program, clinical governance and feedback & complaint management.
- Support and assist managers and educator to establish an agreed business reporting framework for reporting of service outcomes (quality indicators) and operational efficiency (KPIs);
- Assist managers and educator in the identification, collation, analysis, reporting and resolution of safety and quality issues.
- Support team to innovate and substantiate process improvements to meet consumer’s expectation
- Support team to establish and conduct internal audit and review to identify gap and opportunities for improvement
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the team to model a consultative, evidence based, outcome driven and innovative approach to continuous quality improvement
Qualifications and Skills
The successful candidate should possess but not limit to the following:
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years Registered Nurse experience with previous experience in Quality programs
- Demonstrated capacity to support and lead Quality, risk, compliance and audit functions.
- Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance obligations of a private hospital
- Ability to bring change management discipline to ensure successful implementation of Quality, risk & compliance management framework and processes.
- Ability to work in a matrix reporting structure and develop/maintain collaborative relationships across different business units in the organisation.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic planning ability.
- Evidence of effective leadership, team building and communication
- Computer literacy, including knowledge and competency in basic Microsoft applications, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of WH&S and legislative requirements.
- National Police Clearance and WWCC
- Australian Citizenship / Permanent Residency.
