Quality Manager- Wulkuraka

The QA Manager is an integral of the Site's leadership team, providing leadership for Quality ensuring compliance to quality standards and procedures. Key to success will be leading your team of QA Officers in the establishment and maintenance of standards and guidelines, and monitoring of the Production environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and monitor QA objectives and activities supporting GMP’s business plan and policies
• Provide leadership and direction to your team, developing them into a high performing team
• Conduct routine inspections of factory, its processes and product in accordance with HACCP and Standards
• Maintain and enhance the Quality Assurance System and documentation
• Prepare, review and monitor policies, procedures and work instructions
• Report, analyse and present data
• Liaise with customers, auditors and external parties
• Investigate and respond to complaints

About you:

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or an equivalent relevant tertiary qualification
• Experience in meat / high-risk food manufacturing is essential
• Experience in BRC, internal auditing and GMP practices
• Working knowledge of DAWE and HACCP requirements
• Working knowledge of EU requirements and commodity exporting, preferably meat is desirable
• Working knowledge of Microbiology, particularly food associated pathogens
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• A curious nature with high decision quality and ability to stand alone
• Driven to make a difference through influencing others
