About the role
A Ranger Team Leader you will work as a key member of the Albert Park Operations team in delivering on-ground services. You will monitor work practices and with support from the Area Chief Ranger and ensure compliance with relevant specifications such as Parks Victoria's policies and procedures. You will demonstrate a strong personal work ethic for team members to follow and ensure that District employees maintain a high standard of personal accountability and compliance with the Code of Conduct. As the Ranger Team Leader you will be responsible for guiding the team, to inspire enthusiasm, to ensure their safety and welfare and to ensure they are appreciated for their efforts.
We're looking for someone with:
- Cert III Parks and Gardens/Horticulture/Turf qualifications or higher essential
- Experience leading a team on a high profile Hort related site
- A knowledge of, and demonstrated experience in the management of sporting fields, public parks or amenity trees would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills and ability to be able to provide daily updates on the progress of the team
- Good machinery knowledge and problem-solving skills
