The Job:
Doftek is seeking a dynamic, driven, and exceptional engineer to work on our breakthrough technologies in vehicle dynamics. Innovation will be at the core of everything you do. You will work closely with our customers, partners and suppliers in Europe and North America assisting with the installation, testing and evaluation of Doftek products. Practical skills are essential. You will execute testing and evaluation projects and contribute to future R&D topics, which advance Doftek’s portfolio of products and capabilities. Travelling will be a key part of the job. Open to re-location is an advantage.

Your tasks:
- Test and evaluate Doftek products in a variety of test rigs and fixtures in a lab setting, including the design of experiments, execution, documentation and reporting to management and customers;
- Support customers on-site and at race-tracks in Europe to test and evaluate Doftek prototypes, including the assembly, installation, and maintenance (e.g. trouble shoot, diagnose and fix);
- Respond to customer inquiries and technical problems in a timely and professional manner;
- CAD design and creation of engineering drawings to support test program;
- Liaise with suppliers and internal procurement team;
- Contribute to the evaluation and technical development of Doftek products targeting performance, reliability and cost;
- Extensive global travel
The successful candidate will:
- Have a Bachelor’s (Hons) or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics or similar background.
- At least 2 years of experience working with automotive OEMs, Tier 1s or Motorsport (e.g. F-SAE).
- Display outstanding overall vehicle understanding.
- Have an in-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, with basic skills in electrical and software preferred;
- Be practical and capable of working with mechanical and electrical systems in vehicles; knowledge of suspension and steering systems an advantage.
- Be proficient in using CAD and data analysis software, such as Solidworks, Catia, and Matlab.
- Be proficient in completing tasks with minimal guidance and to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Show a “customer first” approach with strong communication interpersonal skills to develop relationships and achieve results
- Be organised and show strong attention to detail.
- Have a flexible approach to working hours and tasks is essential.
- Fluent English is compulsory
