Medical Receptionist
Camberwell, Melbourne Vic
3 days a week with the ability to work 5 days a week going forward.
Medical Reception and Administration:
We are a specialist medical practice looking for a receptionist to provide high quality, professional reception and administrative service to our patients, doctors and staff.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for meeting and greeting patients and visitors with respect. You will have an approachable personality, excellent communication and organisational skills. The successful applicant will be able to work independently as well as part of a busy team, with a high level of attention to detail and strong multi-task skills.
- This is a permanent part-time role, minimum 2 days a week with the possibility of moving to 5 day full time role, depending upon demand.
- Manage patient bookings, answering all phone calls, email enquiries. Scanning documents, attaching documents to files.
- Advise patients of billing details, invoice patients according to account types.ie: DVA, Workers comp , TAC Use of eftpos terminals.
- Medical typing, prepare outgoing mail via Medi-ref
- Manage office supplies
- Distribution of theatre lists to theatres, Anaesthetists, assists
- liase with appropriate pathology companies, regarding specimen collection and results if necessary
- Stocktake on products
- Ensure reception & waiting room area is kept clean & tidy
Skills & Experience:
Experience in working in a medical area
Familiarity with Genie and Medi-ref
Excellent computer skills including working with Mac's
Highly organised and strong attention to detail. Ability to multi task.
Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work hours
A calm and confident manner with excellent communication skills.
An empathy and willingness to help patients
