Overview: 24-7MedCare is looking for an experienced medical receptionist looking for the next step in their career who can transfer that experience to our mobile clinic.The successful applicant will have proven experience supporting the administrative functions in a busy general practice. The role requires the ability to provide excellent customer service to our patients and doctors via effective communication and engagement skills.
This is a casual/part time position reporting directly to the Group Practice Manager. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring our patients have access to proactive care and achieve high levels of both doctor and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Arranging patient bookings in a timely manner
- Informing patients of practice policies
- Accountable for the operation of the telephone system and effectively direct calls to the appropriate team members when necessary
- Provide assistance to the administrative staff
- Day to day engagement of doctors including shift reminders and administrative support
- Adhere to all third-party medical centre policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years reception experience in a general practice.
- Availability to work on-site.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for people and a personable approach.
- Strong organisational, time management skills, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical records software. Experience with Best Practice or similar software is an advantage
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
- Confident and effective communicator
- Competency in Microsoft Office suite
