AddressSA Eye Specialists are currently seeking enthusiastic Medical Receptionists to join our team at our busy practice in Woodville South. Approximately 25 - 30 hours per week over a 5 day roster. Permanency may be offered depending on mutual agreement, skill level and development. The position is available to commence immediately.
SA Eye Specialists specialise in general and Paediatric ophthalmology services, insisting on the highest standards and attention to detail to achieve excellent outcomes for our patients.
Comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidate.
You will join a very enthusiastic team performing tasks including:
- Welcoming patients to our practice, recording important demographic and medical information correctly
- Effectively booking patient appointments face-to-face or over the phone.
- Accurately receiving payments, issuing receipts, completing all billing and invoicing patients.
- Communicating with Medicare and Health Funds to finalise patient payments
- Answering telephone enquiries
- Surgical bookings and operating our patient management system (Clini2Cloud), including but not limited to bookings, data entry, and patient registration.
- Typing and sending letters and emails to GPs and Optometrists
- Assisting with any back-office activities as required, such as, outbound calls, data entry and reporting as delegated by your manager.
- Solely opening and closing the practice from time to time ensuring a positive patient experience throughout their practice journey
Preferred Criteria -
- Experienced in a customer service role demanding high levels of accuracy and accountability
- Experience in scheduling appointments for consultations with our Doctors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills involving patient care and liaison between, Medicare, government bodies, allied health providers etc
- Well-groomed and presented
- Punctual and reliable
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- High level of organisational skills involving time management, accuracy and attention to detail, multi-tasking and efficiency
- Capable of strong organisation and time management skills for successful multiskilling
