If you answered yes to these questions, you are the kind of person we are looking for!
We are looking for a friendly face to fill a permanent role as one of our friendly Reception Team, with the potential to step up into a leadership role if desired.
We are searching for a bright and switched-on receptionist to look after clients and pets in our veterinary practice. If you are emotionally intelligent, organised and enjoy a never-ending variety of unusual situations, this job is going to keep you engaged and motivated.
Our team is growing and we need a new team member who can provide reliable customer support as well as potentially lead our experienced team to continue to deliver the amazing service we are renowned for. The right person will need to be cheerful with a curious and solution-focussed mind and a “can do” attitude. Our receptionists have the enormous job of trying to set the course of every unpredictable day and help keep things running as smoothly as possible.
Regular tasks for an average day include:
- phones - bookings, enquiries, unusual questions, everything in between
- email attending - filing, replying to and handling enquiries
- waiting room management
- records management
- basic cleaning
- greeting and making welcome our clients and their pets
- emergency case triage
- stock management and ordering
Additional tasks include:
- contributing to marketing (website, socials, retail displays, etc)
- client feedback and satisfaction
- organising team training and leading monthly meetings
- coaching your team through implementation of new procedures to help the practice grow and deliver outstanding service and care
- supplier invoice management and statement reconciliation
- developing and documenting reception procedures
Other tasks involved in leading the team and supporting the practice, including the Practice Manager and owners such as training and events, client education, resource and stock management, and organising social events.
We are looking for someone who will love to be involved with our clients, patients, team and the practice we are building together. We can train the right person in many things.
Customer service experience is a must, qualification in veterinary nursing and experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not essential.
Our new team member will work on a flexible roster 34 hours per week covering varying shifts from 7:30am to 7pm weekdays. The occasional weekend shift may be required. The surgery is open 7 days a week, closed most public holidays and there is no after-hours work.
