Job description

The Role

Full time role as reception and legal secretary in our Surry Hills office.

Duties 

  • File management 
  • Diary management
  • Data entry using Leap software 
  • Answering phones 
  • Monitoring & managing solicitor's emails
  • Liaising with clients, barristers, courts, internal and external parties
  • Dictaphone typing
  • Document production using LEAP software
  • Preparing briefs
  • Sorting & indexing financial disclosure
  • Legal searches
  • Arranging appointments and conferences  
  • Filing
  • Taking client payments
  • Various other tasks as required

Skills & Experience

  • At least 2 years' experience or prior education in administration is an advantage
  • Interest and/or experience in Family Law 
  • Willingness to learn and a team player
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence and ability to guide clients through difficult times
  • Ability to work autonomously and show initiative
  • Exceptional organisational and prioritisation abilities
  • Typing skills essential
  • Strict compliance with confidentiality requirements
