LEGAL SECRETARY required to support our PROPERTY & COMMERCIAL LAW professionals in our Morningside practice

An outstanding opportunity exists for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our dynamic property and commercial law team, working with our principal and other solicitors in our Morningside practice.
DBL Solicitors is a well-known market leader with an established client base and excellent reputation. We are recruiting a candidate who will complement our experienced legal team.
With the guidance and supervision your role will include:
- Providing seamless secretarial support to our Property & Commercial Law Solicitors;
- Screening telephone calls as the appointed contact between solicitors & clients;
- Preparation of contracts, commercial agreements and Titles Office documents;
- Contacting clients to update them on the progress of their matters;
- Processing and emailing client correspondence;
- Scheduling meetings and management of calendars;
- Conducting online property searches; and
- File opening and closing.
To be successful in this role you will have strong organisational skills and attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently during busy periods.
The role requires an experienced individual with a mature outlook who will embrace the opportunity to develop and deliver exceptional support to our lawyers.
You will be a proactive and enthusiastic person who can demonstrate a high degree of initiative, dedication and ability. It is also essential that you possess the following skills:
- Minimum 2 years Property & Commercial secretarial experience;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Discretion and honesty when working with sensitive and confidential client information;
- Ability to work pro-actively within a team environment;
- Sound typing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word;
- Knowledge of Open Practice or other legal accounting software, PEXA and Lawdocs (highly regarded, but not essential).
