The ideal candidate for this role should possess a holistic understanding of business management, specifically tailored to the Australian and New Zealand markets. They should excel in senior stakeholder engagement, operational sourcing, and customer management.
With a primary focus on driving OET's growth in these regions, effective government stakeholder management and strategic acumen are essential. Reporting to the Regional Director APAC, the successful candidate should be adaptable, results-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for OET in Australia and New Zealand.
As a successful candidate, you will demonstrate the following:
- Develop and execute a strategic business plan for Australia and New Zealand, in consultation with the Regional Director APAC, ensuring alignment with global commercial plans and budgets.
- Understand the market segmentation of OET stakeholders in each region, including candidates, preparation provider partners, recruiters, and regulators, to deliver tailored solutions.
- Build market awareness for OET in Australia and New Zealand, staying informed about trends, threats, and opportunities to drive growth.
- Take overall accountability for promoting OET to the healthcare sector, including healthcare regulators, providers, the aged care sector, and government departments.
- Drive awareness of OET to maintain existing recognition and achieve new recognition within various market segments such as aged care, recruitment, higher education, and healthcare regulators.
- Manage and lobby relationships with senior stakeholders and government bodies in focus areas to influence policy.
- Promote OET and related products to candidates through workshops, webinars, and events.
- Target preparation providers and recruiters to cultivate and grow B2B commercial relationships with OET, ensuring alignment with strategic plans.
- Collaborate with the Regional Director APAC to develop strategies to counter competitor threats.
- Assist in setting financial targets, budget development, and monitoring to ensure financial management aligns with organizational goals.

- Proven experience in whole of business management, preferably in the education or healthcare sector.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and government officials.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in managing customer relationships and delivering exceptional service.
- Knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand markets is preferred.
