Residential Youth Worker – NSW Central Coast

Your responsibilities as a Casual Youth Worker, will include:

• Providing support to young individuals exhibiting challenging behaviors.
• Implementing and following therapeutic practices while supporting young people who have experienced significant trauma and adversity.
• Facilitating positive outcomes, with a focus on education and daily living skills.
• Offering emotional support and building trust and rapport with our clients and young people in residential care.
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of all.
• Maintaining comprehensive case notes diligently.

Your “must-have” requirements:

• A minimum of 12 months of demonstrated experience in residential youth care.
• Experience in Therapeutic Informed Care.
• Certificate 3 or 4, Diploma in Youth Work, Community services
• Certificate in Assist Clients with Medication- HLTHSPS006.
• Recognise Healthy Body System certificate-HLTAAP001.
• TCI certificate.
• Police Check (dated within the last 12 months)
• Working With Children Check (WWCC).
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Valid and full Driver’s License.
• Current comprehensive car insurance.
• NDIS workers’ screening check.
