Lismore Base Hospital Special Care Nursery Unit has an exciting career opportunity for a Registered Midwife/Nurse to coordinated and deliver high quality women and newborn-centred care in the specialty of Neonatal Nursing.
If you have:
- Current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Midwife or Registered Nurse (Division 1) and availability and capacity to participate in a 24 hour/ seven-day rotating roster which includes working all shifts, all days of the week including public holidays.
- Problem solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and coordination of women and newborn care.
- Evidence of advanced theoretical knowledge and expertise in the provision of comprehensive care for the sick &/or premature neonate, including care & management of neonates requiring continuous positive airway pressure (BCPAP) &/or short term ventilation.
- Ability to work effectively, responsibly, and accountably with minimal supervision & effectively manage the use of staff & physical resources when rostered In-Charge of Shift in SCN.
