Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments. Ordering medical diagnostic and clinical tests.
Administering non-intravenous medications. Modifying patient health treatment plans as indicated by patient conditions and responses. Perform leadership role and supervise PCA practice Providing evidence-based care, developing clinical skills while keeping up to date with professional standards of practice.
Applying wound dressings as per wound management regime Collecting specimen as needed and contracting laboratories to pick up Assessing and evaluating individual residents physical and mental conditions, working with individuals and their families where there are multiple complexities and diverse cultural backgrounds. Recognising and responding to clinical deterioration or other incidents and escalating appropriately, reporting to Clinical Nurse, Doctors and Site Manager Ongoing communication with the care receipt’s representative to update clinical care and concerns Facilitating medical appointments for care recipients. Maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents, self and other staff.
Qualification & Experience Registered Nurse qualification Current AHPRA registration Experience in Aged Care preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a team environment At least 12 months' recent paid work in aged or acute care within the last 5 years A clear understanding of ACFI documentation and the Accreditation Standards About Company Edenfield Family Care is a family-owned private organisation that specialises in residential Aged Care.
